Dr. Costis Prouskas

Dr. Costis Prouskas is a Psychologist with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychological Assessment in Organisations (Goldsmiths, London) and a doctorate (PhD) in Gerontology (King’s College London).

Dr. Prouskas has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aktios Elderly Care since 2007. He also served as the CEO of Filoktitis Physical and Medical Rehabilitation Center from September 2021 to October 2022 while he is currently the Chief Clinical Officer of Blocks Group.

He is the Scientific Director of the Dementia Day Centre of “Frontizo” NGO in Patras and the External Supervisor of the three Dementia Day Centres of the Athens Alzheimer Association.

He has worked for many years in Elderly Care Units and served for 5 years as the Scientific Director of 3 Psychosocial Rehabilitation Units of the Non-profit Organization “KLIMAKA” in Corfu and Patras with full responsibility for staffing, organization and operation.

He has also worked in several European research projects and has served as an expert for Older Women in the Program “PROGRESS for disadvantaged groups” of the Hellenic General Secretariat for Gender Equality. He has also been member of the Working Group for the reform of the institutional framework for the provision of social protection and social welfare for elderly people of the Greek Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Social Solidarity.

He is the Secretary General of the Greek Care Homes Association (PEMFI), the Secretary of the Hellenic Gerontological and Geriatric Society and a Founding Member of the Athens Alzheimer Association and of 50plus Hellas.
